Vertical Blinds Near San Antonio & Boerne, TX
Improve the interiors of your home by adding beautiful blinds.
Do you have an expansive set of windows or a sliding glass door to cover? You may be curious about the available options. The window treatment pros at Blinded by Delight strongly encourage you to consider vertical blinds for these scenarios and as blinds for patio doors. We carry the best brands, including selections from Hunter Douglas. If you’re hesitant to invest in vertical blinds, we’d love to share some of the many benefits.
The Benefits of Vertical Blinds
- Vertical blinds for sliding glass doors are an outstanding solution as they provide privacy and light control while still allowing unfettered access to the door. Open them just enough to move through and you can still enjoy all the light filtering qualities of your blinds.
- Many window treatments help provide light control, but the vanes of vertical blinds are thicker than the slats of horizontal blinds, and they offer better protection from damaging UV rays.
- Speaking of light filtering, the vanes of vertical blinds rotate 180 degrees, giving you the most variable light control of any other window treatments.
- You can also create the illusion of a higher ceiling with vertical blind slats. Using vertical lines in a room is a common design trick that makes window appear larger and ceilings seem taller.
- Vertical blinds are also an amazing way to cover large panes of glass. Horizontal blinds may seem like the best choice, but they can become heavy and cumbersome when used on a larger scale.
- Did we mention that vertical blinds are also a breeze to care for? Regardless of the material you choose, simply wipe clean with a microfiber towel or damp sponge or use a vacuum with a brush attachment to gently clean the slats from top to bottom whenever you clean your house. Don’t forget to remove dust and debris from the headrail, as well to ensure your blinds continue to operate at maximum capacity.

Hunter Douglas Skyline® Gliding Window Panels Wood
Hunter Douglas Skyline® Gliding Window Panels make an outstanding backdrop for rooms with expansive windows when closed and provide great view-through when open. With over 600 color options, you can make a statement or keep things subtle. The panels stack tightly when open to provide an uncompromised view of the outdoors. Your Skyline® Gliding Window Panels will always open smoothly thanks to a system of interlocking weights in the panel bottoms that add stability and decrease tangling of the slats. These can also be used as room dividers!
