Pleated Shades Near San Antonio & Boerne, TX

Improve the interiors of your home by adding beautiful shades.

Pleated shades are an excellent decor decision that brings softness to a room. While they may bear a strong resemblance to cellular shades, the two window treatments are distinctly different. Blinded by Delight Window Coverings & Design carries top brand pleated shades, and our friendly team is here to help you get acquainted with these innovative window treatments.

Graber® Pleated Shades

Fashion-forward consumers have relied on Graber® for years to provide the latest fabrics in the most on-trend colors and patterns. Available in two styles, FashionPleat and EvenPleat®, pleated blinds from Graber feature premium fabrics with a stunning array of patterns and textures. FashionPleat accordion shades for windows come in a one-inch pleat size that is ideally proportioned for small to standard sized windows. The EvenPleat® line is available in both one- and two-inch pleats to complement both small and oversized windows, and features back ladder support to help prevent your shades from sagging.

Letting the Sun Shine

For your convenience, pleated shades are available in four opacities to allow you to choose the precise amount of natural light that enters a room.

  1. A sheer opacity allows for the most sunlight to pass through and delivers the least amount of privacy. This opacity would be a great choice for an area that isn’t personal but where you’d still like some privacy, such as a breakfast nook.
  2. Light filtering shades do exactly what their name implies. This opacity allows less light and diffuses what light does enter the space into a soft glow. Light filtering pleated shades offer more privacy than the sheer variety, and darker colored fabrics may provide a bit more than lighter colors. Use this opacity for areas where you spend a fair amount of time but don’t require abundant privacy, like dining rooms and living rooms.
  3. Next up is the privacy liner. Some light is able to enter the room and objects outside the window appear as silhouettes. Accordion shades for windows in this opacity perform well in bathrooms where you require both light and additional privacy.
  4. Last, but not least, is the blackout liner. This type of pleated shade allows the least amount of light into a room and provides the most privacy. We recommend using a blackout liner in bedrooms, especially if you don’t like waking with the rising sun on the weekends.

Operating Options

What would custom pleated window shades be if they weren’t available in several lifting systems? The standard cord lift is a tried and true option and is great for single window shades that aren’t too heavy. A continuous cord loop style maintains a consistent cord length which allows for easier raising and lowering of larger shades. Consider a cordless lift system if you have children or pets in your home. Adjust your shades by gently pushing or pulling on the bottom rail. This operating style and the motorized lift option are both Certified Best for Kids™. This distinction is given to window treatments that have either no cords or inaccessible inner cords to prevent loops from forming that pose a safety hazard.

Stylish Solutions

Graber® pleated blinds are available in numerous configurations to meet the widest range of needs. Standard shades feature the basic style that opens from the bottom. This style has stood the test of time and is an ideal solution for any room in your home. Opt for the Top Down/Bottom-Up shade style to accommodate needs for more privacy without sacrificing the entrance of natural light. Sun Up/Sun Down allows you to pair two pleated shade fabrics for optimal light control and privacy. You can keep things similar with a sheer and light filtering combination or go bolder with a sheer or light filtering material paired with a blackout liner.

Alta® Dual Shades

Crafted with solid fabric bands and linear sheers, Alta® Dual Shades will be your home's focal points. We can show you options for room-darkening fabrics, translucent styles, and any style between. Shift these shades to diffuse light gently; align the bands to block out light and protect your privacy.
